At Tollers, every toy we stock has to earn its place, so we ask a couple of questions first: What is it made from? Who made it? Will it encourage meaningful play? And does it fit within our core values here at Tollers? With this new brand, those questions were easily answered.
That’s why we’re so excited to introduce Oli & Carol!
Their wonderfully playful fruit and vegetable-shaped toys caught our eye straight away, but there’s much more to them than their lovely designs. Made using natural rubber and wood, they offer a different approach to everyday play through their designs, the fruit and vegetable themed toys are tactile in smaller hands and gets little ones familiar with different foods at a young age. Doubling up as sensory toys because of their natural rubber material.
And there’s another reason this launch feels particularly special. Oli & Carol marks our first step into natural rubber toys at Tollers, giving you another thoughtful alternative to conventional plastic toys.
Who makes them?
Oli & Carol was founded by sisters Olimpia and Carolina, who share a love of design, creativity and the natural world. They set out to create toys that would do more than simply keep little ones entertained. They wanted to make beautiful, playful products with a purpose behind them. That idea really resonates with us at Tollers.
We believe the toys children grow up with can be so much more than something to keep them busy. The best ones invite curiosity, encourage imagination and become part of those everyday childhood moments we remember long after the toys themselves have been put away.
Oli & Carol bring that same thoughtfulness to their designs. Inspired by nature and made with natural materials, their toys combine playful character with a more considered approach to what we give our children.
Rather than being another mass-produced plastic toy, their products are handcrafted and hand-painted, so there’s a real emphasis on materials, craftsmanship and the people behind the finished product.

Their story
The idea behind Oli & Carol is a lovely one: what if toys could help little ones discover the natural world around them, right from the very beginning?
Fruits and vegetables are such a familiar part of everyday family life, but for babies and toddlers, they’re also full of new things to explore. Different shapes, colours, textures and little details all offer opportunities to discover something new.
Oli & Carol wanted to bring that experience into playtime, creating toys inspired by the fruit and vegetables children see growing, being prepared in the kitchen and appearing on their plates.
But their story is also about making more conscious choices. The brand places a strong emphasis on natural materials, responsible production and designing products with a purpose beyond entertainment. Their toys are made using natural rubber sourced fromHevea trees, alongside other natural materials such as wood in selected designs. The brand also uses natural-based pigments to bring its colourful characters to life.
Meet the Oli & Carol toys
We’re starting our Oli & Carol collection with their Green Cars collection, baby sensory balls and the watermelon pizza puzzle!
Think carrots, beetroots, lemons, strawberries and other colourful characters, each with its own personality. But these aren't just lovely things to look at. They're made for little ones to pick up, push, roll and explore, encouraging imaginative play and helping develop coordination and fine motor skills along the way.
Even the packaging has a playful second life, with a garage design that children can use as a ramp for their cars and colour in. It's these little details that we love: a toy that encourages play, gives children something new to explore and makes thoughtful use of its materials and packaging.

More than a toy
Bringing in Oli & Carol means we're introducing our first natural rubber toys as a plastic alternative, and that's a milestone we're genuinely excited about.
We know that plastic toys are familiar, colourful and easy to find. But we also believe families deserve more choice when it comes to the materials their children's toys are made from.
Natural rubber, harvested from Hevea trees, gives us another material to work with: tactile, flexible and well suited to the playful designs Oli & Carol are known for. Combined with wooden details and natural-based pigments, it offers a different way to approach a familiar toy.
We're not interested in adding products to our shelves simply for the sake of having more choice. We want to find thoughtful alternatives that still do what toys are meant to do best: inspire play, spark curiosity and bring joy.
And that's where Oli & Carol really shines.
