About tollers

Because our kids deserve better.

We started Tollers to give families a real alternative to disposable toys. Every product we sell is chosen for its quality, its sustainable origins, and its ability to last. No batteries. No plastic. No waste.

Our mission is simple: Bring back real play. Every toy on our site is handpicked because we vouch for its quality, its transparent origins, and the genuine joy it brings.

where it started A toy aisle that left us empty-handed

I am Simon, a dad of three. A trip to buy birthday gifts for my one-year-old twins turned into a wake-up call. Shelf after shelf of bright, beeping, plastic toys, and not a single one I felt good about buying.

We left the shop empty-handed. That evening, I started researching. The more I dug, the more I realised: the market for genuinely sustainable, well-made toys was growing fast, but nobody was doing it properly online. That gap became Tollers.

Our name Tollers, the rocking horse

In my family, there is a wooden rocking horse named Tollers. He was bought from Harrods in the 1930s and has been ridden, repainted, and repaired by more than 30 children across four generations. He is still going today.

He is everything a toy should be. Built to last, passed down with love, and full of stories. He gave us our name, and he gives us our standard. Every toy we sell has to earn its place the same way Tollers did.

How we choose

Our product promise

We do not design or make toys. We are specialist curators. Our job is to search the market, test products with real children, and only bring the very best to you. Every product must stand behind these four things.

  • No screens, no batteries

Every toy is powered by imagination. If it needs a plug or a charge, it does not make the cut.

  • Sustainable materials

FSC-certified wood, cork, natural rubber, organic fabrics. We verify the sourcing, not just the label.

  • Built to last

Designed to be handed from sibling to sibling and generation to generation. Buy well, buy once.

  • Honest and transparent

We only work with makers who are open about how and where their toys are made. No greenwashing, ever.

The Tollers Way Toys worth keeping

We are not trying to sell you more stuff. We are trying to help you buy less, but better. A Tollers toy earns a permanent spot in the playroom, gets passed to a younger sibling, and still looks good years later.

If it is not good enough for our kids, it does not make the cut. That is the only rule that really matters.
