Join us as we open our first shop

Tollers Toys is a small, growing brand selling sustainable, screen free, battery free toys for young children. We've just taken on our first physical shop, a unit at Glossop Market Hall, opening on 8 September.

 

We're building a small team of two to three part time retail assistants to support the rota alongside our Store Manager.

The role

You'll help us run the shop day to day, working alongside our Store Manager on some shifts and covering the shop on your own on others. You'll be fully trained and supported, with real trust to look after the shop when you're the only one there.

What you'll actually be doing

  • Serving customers and creating a warm, welcoming experience for families and children

  • Using our EPOS system to take payments

  • Keeping the shop floor merchandised and looking the way a Tollers shop should

  • Looking after our in-store play area

  • Opening and closing the shop on days you're working alone

  • Helping with picking and packing online orders when needed

Hours and rota

This is a part time role with flexible cover across the week. Days and hours will vary depending on demand and your availability, and will be agreed directly with the Store Manager.

Who you report to

You'll report to our Store Manager day to day, with support from the wider Tollers team.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience working front of house in a shop, café, or similar customer facing role

  • Confidence working alone in the shop when needed

  • A warm, friendly manner with customers, and genuinely great with people

  • Reliability, since the shop needs to be covered as planned

  • An eager, helpful attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed

  • Comfortable learning new systems, including our EPOS till
